I’m passionate about empowering people to experience true connection and deep intimacy. For me, being socialized as a girl in a society that doesn’t teach adequate sex education and having influences from purity church culture led me to suppress and detach from sexual desires for many years. My upbringing taught me to save any sexual desires until marriage and even when you get married I was taught to only access sexual desires in the safe containment with my husband so as to not put our relationship into jeopardy. All erotic energy was to be kept turned off until you were engaging sexually with your spouse. The problem with this mindset is that for many pleasure is not an “On” / “Off” switch. And if you are not able to just turn it ON then you are left frustrated and without enjoying sex to its fullest. I believe that many individuals are being confronted with having to dismantle similar negative belief systems that were taught to them.
